Personalization materials are reviewed only by Story Sprouts personnel and service providers who require access when reasonably necessary to create, produce, or fulfill your book.

Story Sprouts employees may review your questionnaire responses, photographs, family information, and related materials for purposes such as writing, editing, design, quality control, customer support, and production.

We do not publish or publicly share your personalized family content unless you have given us permission to do so.

We do not use your personalized book content for unrelated advertising or marketing without your permission.

4. Use of Artificial Intelligence and Design Technology

Story Sprouts uses artificial intelligence and other digital tools as part of its creative and production process.

These tools may assist our team with functions such as drafting, editing, organizing submitted information, developing creative concepts, generating or refining visual materials, formatting, and other aspects of book creation.

Accordingly, portions of the information you submit may be processed through third-party artificial intelligence or technology providers when necessary to create your product.

We select reputable technology providers and seek to use services with appropriate privacy and security protections. Story Sprouts personnel remain responsible for reviewing and developing the final personalized product.

Your family information is not intentionally submitted for the purpose of training publicly available artificial intelligence models.

5. Printing and Production

Story Sprouts works with a professional third-party publishing and production partner to print and bind our books.

Information necessary to manufacture or fulfill your order may be provided to our publishing, printing, fulfillment, or shipping partners. This may include the completed book files, recipient name, shipping address, and other information reasonably necessary to produce and deliver the product.

These providers receive information for the purpose of performing services on our behalf and are not authorized by Story Sprouts to use your personalized family content for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Children’s Information

Story Sprouts books frequently tell stories about children and families. However, our website, questionnaire, ordering process, and services are intended for use by adults.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13.

Parents, guardians, grandparents, relatives, or other adults may provide information about children for inclusion in a personalized Story Sprouts product. By submitting information about a child, you represent that you are authorized to provide that information for the requested purpose.

COPPA generally applies to operators of websites or online services directed to children under 13 and to other operators with actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information online directly from a child under 13.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including creating and fulfilling your book, providing customer service, handling corrections or reorders, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and satisfying legal obligations.

Personalization materials and production files may be retained for a reasonable period following completion of an order so that we can assist with corrections, replacements, reprints, or customer-service issues.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal and business-record requirements.
